{"id":4,"date":"2017-09-13T09:37:29","date_gmt":"2017-09-13T09:37:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/neutronstar.camk.edu.pl\/?page_id=4"},"modified":"2020-06-05T13:17:55","modified_gmt":"2020-06-05T13:17:55","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/neutronstar.camk.edu.pl\/","title":{"rendered":"About me"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>This is my old website; please go <a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/sklander.wordpress.com\/\">here<\/a> for my current one.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Centre in Warsaw, supported by a Polonez 2 grant (a part of the Horizon 2020 programme, and related to the European-wide Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie grants).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Here in Warsaw I am working with the long-standing neutron-star group of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.camk.edu.pl\/en\/staff\/haensel\/\">Pawe\u0142 Haensel<\/a>, and the new \u2018subgroup\u2019 of <a href=\"http:\/\/users.camk.edu.pl\/bhaskell\/\">Bryn Haskell<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">I began my life as a researcher with a PhD in Southampton, supervised by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southampton.ac.uk\/maths\/about\/staff\/dij.page\">Ian Jones<\/a>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I moved from there to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tat.physik.uni-tuebingen.de\/~kokkotas\/Welcome.html\">Kostas Kokkotas<\/a>\u2019s group in T\u00fcbingen (Germany), and later returned to Southampton for a short-term teaching position and then a postdoc.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In between these longer-term positions I had sojourns at <a href=\"https:\/\/astro.uni-frankfurt.de\/rezzolla\/\">Luciano Rezzolla<\/a>\u2019s group at the Albert Einstein Institute in Potsdam, and <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.fnwi.uva.nl\/a.l.watts\/\">Anna Watts<\/a>\u2019s group in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-74 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/neutronstar.camk.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/website_pic_medium-238x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"238\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/neutronstar.camk.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/website_pic_medium-238x300.jpeg 238w, https:\/\/neutronstar.camk.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/website_pic_medium.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 238px) 100vw, 238px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is my old website; please go here for my current one.
